There are several different ancient Greek spellings of this goddess' name as you will find in the marvellous Theoi Project pages for her. The second page, the cult page shows those various spellings. The LSJ Greek Lexicon entry for her is under 'Eileithuia', showing the derivation from a participial form of erchomai, "eluth- she that comes in need".
